First day of JAM - Jesselton Artisan Market was a blast! A little update about me, I'm currently still studying in UMS and working as a teacher in Sabah Pottery Studio. So last month, we represent S.P.S. to participate in JAM.

Calling for SuperHero Daddy and Family!

So This is our humble booth, Sabah Pottery Studio!
Teacher Wu is doing demo in "Wheel Throwing" Pottery.

Our booth sells some pottery goods (mostly handmades) and teach students a 20 minutes session in experiencing "Wheel Throwing" for RM20 per student!

My first customer! So delighted! *insert a wide smile emoji with a red heart*
The only picture of my handpainted elephant artwork!
I'm really grateful to be able to join this event because I did not just teach and promote about the studio, I gained a lot through all the little experiences with our talented artists and awesomely creative people!

First Time Joining Big Event - BBQ Chicken (Imago)

01:23 Unknown 0 Comments

I'm truly blessed to be able to attend such a big event (for the first time ever!) last week on 8th July 2017, whereby I'm invited to BBQ Chicken to launch their new menu at Imago by Seats.my! *insert eyes filled with hearts emoji*
The moment I enter the restaurant, I was like, Wow, Wow and WOW! It was such a privilege to be able to meet up so many other food bloggers or passionate food eaters there! (How am I being invited? Stay tune on my next blog J)
This was the menu they served us! Yums!

1 Appetizer, 5 main course and one drink (each person)

Can't leave a place without a #flatlayhug
Ps: The Dol-Sod Bap (middle0) is hot!

The first appetizer was “Sweet Pumpkin Salad” or it also called “Cajun Salad” in Korea.

I like the combination of their honey mustard sauce (right side) with the fried chicken (chicken tenders) and fresh vegetables. Fresh vegetables consists of sweet pumpkin, black olives and cherry tomatoes. It was my first time trying freshly cut cube-shaped pumpkin. Was very crunchy but hard (it’s an unusual experience for me). The prices for this regular size is RM21.90 and small size is RM14.90.

Now the main course they served us was:

Tuna Jumokbap (Jerk Grilled Chicken) – RM26.90

It is freshly cooked rice ball (wrapped with seaweed), combine with Tuna-Mayo and vegetables pouched in rice. It is served with potatoes (texture a little hard) with sprinkles of spices, stir-fried vegetables (top right side) and grilled chicken.  I like their rice balls because they are nicely wrapped and taste good too. The grilled chicken are well marinated and the taste is sweet and just nice!
Bulgogi (Beef) Bap-Burger Meal – RM29.90

This dish was one of my favorite! Their bulgogi(beef) was so tender and gives a little sweet taste. At first, we didn’t realize this was “Bap-Burger” until I saw a slice of cheese under bulgogi. It is creatively served on a frying pan (really cute!). This burger consist or cheese, vegetables and sauce are topped on Korean rice burger. Served with potatoes, stir-fried vegetables and grilled chicken. The rice burger bun could have shaped better tho.

4 Combo (Cheesling, Hot-Hot, Gangjeong & Kanjang) – RM36.90
Next dish was their famous Sauced Chicken! I can tell you that even a person that can't take spicy-ness (like me) would love to try it!!

The level of spicy-ness was indeed very spicy (plus mixture of a little sweet). This dish comes with 4 flavor of chickens which is Cheesling, Hot-Hot, Gangjeong and Kanjang chickens. My favorite  one was the Cheesling chicken (bottom side)! Even the cheesling one still taste slightly spicy but at least I really enjoy it!

Kimchi Chicken Dol-Sod Bap – RM17.90

This is one of my kind of “kimchi”. It was Kimchi and Charbroiled Galbi (chicken) topped on the rice. Why was it my type because it is not as sour-ish and spicy(again apologise for not being a spicy food eater-haha). It tasted sweet and the combination with the chicken was great! The only problem was the bottom of this dish was too hardened (over cooked). Overall this was quite affordable and delicious (for not-so-spicy eaters).

Lastly, Grilled Chicken Spoon Pizza – RM32.90

Spoon pizza based on cream sauce, charbroiled Galbi (chicken), potatoes, black olives with slices of mushrooms, red and green pepper mixed with cube-size breads.

The special about this pizza are the bread is not under the pizza (like normal ones with crust etc..) as you can see the picture it's in cube shapes and sprinkles on top of the sauce and cheese. It’s my first time trying a “Spoon Pizza”! I like the cheese textures and the slices of mushrooms and pepper but it's not my favourite because the sauce was a little sour, the potatoes was too big piece and a little hard to bite (texture).

Such a huge chicken deco! Kudos to the team for every details in the shapes, colours and sizes! Love it!

Would come back for their yummy chicken again and gonna try their famous “Pane Mushroom Cream Soup” next!

Love,

Finally, I started my first blog ever! A little intro about me, I am Elaine Yoon, a simple girl that was born in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, and moved to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah since one year old (so I guess I'm considering a Sabahan now?). Since primary school, I love arts very much! I remember the times when my sister and I was sitting behind in my dad’s car (Land Cruiser), coloring our cute coloring books on a mini table and chairs *flashback*. So since young at age, we were “trained” and doesn’t get dizzy whenever we do some arts or even read books or do some revisions in a car especially during exam period! Thank God for such talent because I realize not everyone does that (don’t you agree?:p)! Entering secondary school, I finally got a cell phone (shared with my sister), Nokia 3200. This is my best phone ever(during that time) because it has color screen, and able to take pictures!*insert monkey cover eyes emoji*

Then I realize I started to love taking photographs very much! Next, my first ever hand phone that was owned by myself(bought with my own pocket money) was a Sony Ericsson k530i. Because of this phone, I take tons and tons of photos wherever I go. My friends even name me, “photograph queen” because I kinda never stop taking photos. Photos like candid shots of my friends, food, the beautiful natures and places. Next phone was Samsung S3 mini (affordable for me and I like small phones to fit into my jeans anytime) and it has accompanied me for more than 5 years (it’s still alive until today!). I call it the miracle phone because this phone has been through a lot. It has gone to the furthest place to Vietnam (I will post some of my travels about Vietnam soon), and under the sea (it accidentally dropped under the sea in Labuan but revived)! To be honest, I’m actually very sad that I couldn’t take a good or better quality photos with this phone. I couldn’t afford a DXLR camera (my dream to own one) or a better phone. Therefore, this year on my birthday, my love had asked almost everyone(our circle of friends) to chip in a budget and I finally own xiao mi 5 with 16mega pixels, I can take clear and better quality shots! *insert heart shape eyes emoji*

So this is my passion! I love arts since I was young at age (I took arts as an extra subject in Form 4-6) and I’m currently taking Masters in Arts too! And I love love love taking pwetty pictures, exploring places filled with the beauty of nature and Cafes! Because it’s an outburst of this passion, I love what I’m doing, therefore, I want to spread this love to the world(wild wild dream haha)! That’s the main reason why I start blogging! Therefore lovelaineyoon is about my lifestyle and the things that I love to do <3 Not forgetting my main inspiration, TARA MILK TEA, she has been my inspiration ever since I met her (in Instagram, not a real person)!

A little art call it #flatlayhug with my logo on a mocha latte by Mong Cafe (Thank You Ms Eun Jee!).
I want to thank YvonneTXW (top right) and Sinulangkit (side middle left) for the pretty cards they gave me during Jesselton Artisan Market! I love them very much and it will be in my collection <3

So this is me, I’m gonna blog about the places I'd traveled or explored, and blog about my arts and nice food and drinks in KK :D stay tune!
